Join us in celebrating Maxine Morrell-West. Maxine began her career as a social worker supporting youth in the child welfare system. She transitioned into a role with Toronto’s Destination Marketing Organization, and grew in the organization to managing their Call Centre’s daily operations over 14 years. For the next 6 years, Maxine took on the responsibility of sales of the Travel Trade market in North America.
This unique path, of knowledge in social work and tourism, allowed Maxine to be the ideal choice to work with TIAO for the past 2 years providing empathy and support in Stakeholder Relations during the challenging times for the tourism industry due to the pandemic. In addition, Maxine led the launch, implementation and education of the Safe Travels Stamp program that supported local health protocols and provided comfort for both the consumer and residents of local communities.
Maxine is proud to return to Destination Toronto, setting up, building awareness, connecting and rebuilding the Travel Trade market for Toronto.
