Today (May 28th, 2019), Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport, Michael Tibollo, and Minister of Infrastructure, Monte McNaughton, made a timely announcement on the third day of Tourism Week. The Ministers announced that the provincial government is opening development proposals to transform Ontario Place and unlock its potential as a “year-round, world-class destination.”
This is a great announcement for tourism in Ontario. The re-development of Ontario Place not only harnesses Ontario’s unique position within Canada as a gateway to the rest of the country, but will create a world-class destination that will attract Ontarians and visitors from Canada and abroad.
