TIAO has been a vocal proponent throughout the summer in asking the Federal Government to present its plan to reopen the U.S. border and wider international travel. We have read the Prime Minister's comments from last night with great interest and look forward to seeing the fully detailed plan to first reopen the U.S. border in August, and then wider international border in September to fully vaccinated travelers.
The resumption of international travel, especially the expedited reopening of our border with the United States, is worth billions of dollars to our economy and is an integral part of our industries ability to recover, with so many of our members relying heavily on American tourists for their survival. The sooner our members have this plan in their hands, the faster they can start to market and take bookings and return to what they do best, providing world class and unforgettable experiences for visitors.
