PRESS RELEASE
TGGO Golf tournament brings the tourism community together in support of Starlight Children’s Foundation Canada.
The Ontario Tourism community will come together on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at Nottawasaga Resort & Conference Centre for the inaugural TGGO Charity Golf Tournament, bringing current and retired tourism professionals together for a day of golf, networking, friendship and giving back in support of Starlight Children’s Foundation Canada.
The event will feature golf, on-course contests and activities, networking and an evening reception, dinner and awards celebration. To date, over 80 stakeholders have registered for golf and dinner with a portion of their registration donated to Starlight Children’s Foundation Canada, helping turn a day on the course into meaningful support for seriously ill children and their families.
The organizing committee is pleased to recognize the growing number of sponsors, partners and donors including:
- Globe & Mail
- Talent Employment Agency,
- Ottawa Tourism
- Southwest Ontario Tourism
- Bay of Quinte Tourism
- Abell Pest Control
- Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island
In addition to sponsorship support, tourism partners and businesses are contributing memorable experiences, travel opportunities and accommodations. To date the industry has provided over a dozen tourism experiences including four regional tourism packages with more to come. We thank Attractions Ontario for their assistance in securing experiences from their members.
“The tourism industry has always been about creating memorable experiences,” said Narvin Singh, Chair of the TGGO. “This tournament gives us an opportunity to reconnect with colleagues and friends, celebrate the strength of our industry. We are incredibly grateful to our sponsors, donors, volunteers and participants for helping us bring this vision to life.”
About Starlight Canada: What makes Starlight Canada unique is that we are there for the entire journey – from hospital to home. Starlight’s out-of-hospital wish program grant wishes of all sizes to give seriously ill children and their families a reason to smile and special memories to hold on to. Whether they are wishing for a simple night out with a loved one or dreaming big with an ultimate wish of a lifetime, Starlight creates magic where kids can shine even when sick.
“TIAO Is pleased to have the opportunity to support the convening of our industry. Networking events are key for collaboration and where better than a tournament that provides a legacy of industry knowledge with those that are addressing current innovations, trends and developments. Merging these together while supporting the Starlight Foundation, and supporting the Ontario Tourism Strategy ensures Forward Motion”
