TIAO at OFA Research Day and the Unblock Unconference

Last week, TIAO presented at the Ontario Federation of Agriculture’s (OFA) Research Day, exploring agritourism and highlights from the 2022 State of the Ontario Tourism Industry Report. The OFA previously sponsored TIAO’s joint policy roundtables with the Ontario Chamber of Commerce last year, which led to development of the State of the Ontario Tourism Industry Report. OFA’s Research Day was a great opportunity to explore ways to expand the agritourism market and how TIAO can collaborate with our partners in the agricultural industry.

TIAO also presented at the inaugural Unblock Unconference, hosted by Quell. The Unconference was aimed at disrupting the traditional conference approach and thinking within the food, drink, and hospitality industry; this year’s Unconference focused on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. TIAO was the supporting partner for and presented at a panel session on addressing and overcoming the labour crisis, along with the Canadian LGBT+ Chamber of Commerce (CGLCC), and Dr. Altaf Sovani, CEO and founder of Alzen Consulting, focusing on hospitality, tourism, and education sectors.
